  • Going to the Planetarium

    The Bonney Lake Chapter will be going to the Pierce College Science Dome in January as part of their Family Astronomy Night. The Science Dome upgraded all their projectors in the first half of December so the presentations should be even better. A Saturday is being chosen by the chapter members and they also get to choose which presentation they would like to see. Due to COVID restrictions only 30 people are allowed in the dome for each presentation. Email info@bonneylakeastro.org for more information.

  • Meet your new SAS Board

    On November the 10th a new SAS Board was elected for 2022. The nominating committee went far and wide looking for people that were interested in committing their valuable time and energy to leading the club. Here are the result of the election.

    The SAS Board elections are coming up in November. We, the nomination committee, are asking our members to consider volunteering to stand for one of the 7 positions. The Board will meet on November 10 to assemble the slate of candidates. Please consider attending if you would like to get involved.   • The Return of the Paramount Park Star Party

    Please join us TONIGHT for some October Star Parties! We are excited to bring back one of our favorite Star Parties with the return of the Paramount Park Star Party in nearby Shoreline. In trying to be more flexible to accommodate for weather, the return of our Paramount Park Star Party has been moved up a day. Click here for details.

    We will have a fun opportunity to witness Jupiter's Great Red Spot as well as observing Saturn Rings and deep sky objects. (As always, this event is weather dependent so please check if the weather turns)

    Hi everyone! Just a heads up that we are moving our monthly meeting to the same time next week in order to accomodate our presenters. (Wednesday, July 28th from 6:30-8 PM)

    We will be doing a "Show & Tell" where SAS Members who were at Goldendale this past June will quickly share some of their favorite images and go over both the fun and challenge of the process. We'll also be interacting and asking questions and we hope you can still join us!
