Equipment Manager Needed

SAS is looking for volunteer to manage the equipment library. You need to be a member in good standing. Duties include responding to e-mails from members and setting them up with telescopes that are available and managing the check in/check out process. Some storage space to dedicate to these scopes, when not in use, would be beneficial as well. There are three members who have volunteered small spaces to help store, so the burden will be shared. Please e-mail equipment@seattleastro.org if you are interested in this opportunity.

Goldendale Star Party dates for 2015

We are pleased to announce that we are having two Goldendale star parties this year! The dates for the SAS 2015 members-only annual star party at Brooks Memorial State Park, 12 miles north of Goldendale, WA, will be July 17, 18, 19 and September 11, 12, 13.

SAS President Jeff Dunn has resigned

SAS President Jeffrey Dunn has announced his resignation from the SAS Board. The Board has appointed VP of Activities Chris Laurel to replace Jeff as Interim President until the board elections in November.  We thank Jeff for his service, dedication, and hard work during his time with SAS and wish him the best.
