The meeting started at 7:15 pm.
Steve will look into this. It would be fairly inexpensive, and would be very
helpful for club events and recruiting new members.

Telescopes
Should we have the club buy a small telescope for solar viewing? Most of our
outreach activities are during the day, and it is a great way to get passersby
involved. Solar scopes have been a huge draw whenever we've been able to have
a member provide one.
Youth Group
Steve has had a couple of members express an interest in starting a youth
group. This would require a range of solid scopes to use, and a set of
volunteers.
Dark Sky Site
Mark and Thomas will present an update to the club regarding dark sky sites at
the next club meeting.
Banquet
We need to start looking for a speaker. One thought: coordinate with the
Pacific Science Center, they also have candidate speakers.
VP Programs
Still no volunteers for this position. Perhaps we can find some way to motivate
a new or existing member to sign up? We do have a few more speakers lined up,
and we can have a "free for all" night, where people show up with pictures
and club sub-groups can present.
