Overview
In 2010, Seattle astrophotographer Nick Risinger set out traveling to dark sky sites around the world with the goal of creating the largest true color all-sky survey. After logging 60,000 miles and dozens of frigid all-nighters with his cameras, he was then faced with the immense task of processing all his images. Nick will talk about the travel and tech involved in producing his Photopic Sky Survey, which has been featured in a Sky & Telescope article and displayed at museums worldwide. He'll also give a tour of a more recent work: an all-sky image in H-alpha.
