Age of Copernicus
Wed at 07:30 PMOpen to PublicHow do we know about the history of our Solar System? Most of our knowledge about the timing of events comes from lunar samples collected by the Apollo missions. Some of the most important dates are constrained by just a few samples (or portions of samples.) UW Senior Lecturer Toby Smith will talk about determining the timing of one of the most important markers in the lunar timescale: the formation of the rayed crater Copernicus.
