Covington Parks & Recreation are sponsoring monthly evenings of observing interesting astronomical objects and learning about the universe. Astronomers from the Seattle Astronomical Society, Boeing Employees' Astronomical Society, and Tacoma Astronomical Society will share telescope views of planets, stars, clusters, galaxies, and other celestial objects of the season.

Notes

 David Ingram, John McClaren, and two local astronomers joined this event.  
Setup time was 7:15 and the first four guest arrived at 7:50pm.  The only view was of the cresent moon with clouds moving in from the west.  By 8:30pm clouds covered from west to the zenith.  Darkness followed and a momentatry view of the ISS was seen through high clouds.  Six more guests arrived from 8:30-9pm  By 9pm the entire sky was clouded over with the cresent moon only occasionally shining through. 
At 9:15pm the event was called to an end.
