This is the main outreach group of the Seattle Astronomical
Society. This informal group meets with their telescopes at public
parks in Seattle to encourage the public to look at the stars,
planets and moon. In the process they find that sharing their
knowledge can be a lot of fun!
In addition to the regular monthly star parties on the Saturday
near first quarter moon, Sidewalk Astronomers organizes spur-of-the-moment
observing sessions based on that precious Seattle commodity,
clear skies.
