The Spokane Astronomical Society, which is hosting the 1999 Astronomical League Convention July 13-17, has announced more speakers for the convention.

David Malin, the great astrophotograper from the Anglo-Australian Observatory, will appear at the conference. Malin has published many beautiful pictures of the glories of the southern hemisphere skies from "down under."

Others added to the speaker list include Meade Chairman Mr. Dibble and his sales manager.

Bill Nye, The Science Guy, and Louis Freeman, executive director of the Planetary Society will speak at a fund-raising event on Wednesday, July 14, in Spokane. Prices for this event are adults $5 and children $3 at the door.
