About the Event
The April event is more of a work party. There are several trees down that need to be taken care of. We need someone with a big chainsaw and good skills to help bring the leaning trees down and cut the logs up. If you have rakes bring them.
Piney Woods is a 5 acre site near Goldendale Washington. The skies are dark here, bortle 3. It is a very rural area but the town of Goldendale is 15 minutes away by car with just about all the amenities you need. Some people like to get a room at one of the motels, sleep there during the day, take a shower, eat in town then come out to the site at night for observing. Others like to setup tents, sleep in their vehicle, or bring an RV.
