Overview
Join the Museum of Flight (MoF) as we watch the first mission to send humans into orbit from U.S. soil since NASA retired the space shuttle fleet in 2011! At 1:33 p.m. PDT, NASA’s SpaceX Demo-2 mission is scheduled to launch from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This first crewed flight of the Crew Dragon capsule, with NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley aboard, is set to demonstrate SpaceX's ability to fly astronauts safely to and from the International Space Station.
MoF Adjunct Curator for Space History, Geoff Nunn, will be joined by retired astronaut Wendy Lawrence and Dr. Dieter M. Zube, Museum docent and Senior Spaceflight Propulsion Engineer to provide commentary and highlights of the mission, as well as answer your questions!
