We are looking for informal presenters for our science fair. We are still deciding on format, but it may be either a group presentation (ie assembly type set up) or table top. Please email me with more info about what you can offer is. Thank you!

    Private Star Party for Kentridge HS Class

    SAS Members Only

    The SAS will provide a private star party for about 60 students from Kentridge High School. Four to six astronomers with EPO experience and personal telescopes are sought for a three hour program including a star walk and telescope viewing. Please contact D. Ingram and tell him how you would like to help. If you are new to education and public outreach, this would be a good opportunity to watch and learn especially if you enjoy being around young people.

    Space Night at the Museum of Flight

    Open to Public

    Astronomy societies from around the Puget Sound area will take part in the Museum of Flight's semiannual Space Day. This event is a great oppourtunity for club members to promote astronomy, hand out club literature and, if the weather permits, go outside on the Museum sidewalks and involve Museum guests in solar, celestial and planetary viewing. Volunteers can help out at the display table or can bring equipment to do some "sidewalk" astronomy.
