Hi everyone!

I'm Ethan Graef, and I'm originally from NW Arkansas. I graduated from the University of Arkansas in May of 2025 with a B.S. in ME and a B.A. in German and moved to Seattle in July of 2025 to start my career as a fluid systems engineer at Blue Origin. I became interested in space through my passion for astronomy. I grew up on an old pine tree farm in AR, surrounded by the Ozark National Forest, which had largely unpolluted dark skies. In high school, I bought an Apertura AD8, read The Planet Factory by Elizabeth Tasker for a class, and quickly became infatuated with space exploration. Since I've moved to Seattle, I haven't used my telescope as much as I would like, so I'm very excited to join SAS, meet new people, dust off my telescope, and learn more about our cosmos from like-minded people!
