    Women's Astronomy Group-Book Discussion

    Sat at 02:00 PM
    Open to Public

This is a great opportunity to meet like minded women who love astronomy. We can chat about the book over coffee and pastries, get to know one another and hopefully plan some future observing nights together. Location will be at one of the coolest new coffee shops in Seattle. If interested, please contact Wendy at ... more

    2024 Solar Eclipse

    Mon at 11:30 AM
    Open to Public

Join us at the University of Washington, in front of the Physics and Astronomy building in the Mark McDermott Plaza, to see the eclipse on Monday, April 8th. From Seattle people will see a chunk of the sun taken out, similar to the bite in the Apple logo where it will slide across the side of the sun. The eclipse begins at 10:39am, peak at 11:30, and ends at 12:25pm. We will have eclipse glasses and telescopes to look through. Fingers crossed that we have clear skies.
