About the Event
Come out to Big Sky Park in Tehaleh and enjoy some stargazing with members of the Seattle Astronomical Society (SAS). Everyone is welcome. People with telescopes can arrive 30 minutes early to setup.
Note, this is not the same location we used last year. The benefit of this site is that we can choose to move to the following weekend if it is cloudy. We don't expect to have as much of a mosquito problem. This is in a residential area so there will be some house lights around the park. We do not expect much of a problem if you are in the middle of the park.
Experienced volunteers from the Seattle Astronomical Society (SAS) will bring their telescopes and binoculars to share with the public.
A short introduction to stargazing will start between 30 and 45 minutes after sunset. This will help you identify some basic features of…
