About the Event
At 6pm over at the Covington Aquatics Center there will be a introductory class on astronomy led by Steve Case. If you are new to astronomy this is the class you want to go to. He gives an introduction to all things astronomy and telescopes.
There will NOT be a star party afterwards due to poor weather.
If weather conditions force cancellation of an event, that news will be posted no later that 4PM the day of the event. If you RSVP, if anything changes you will be notified via email.
It can get quite chilly at night, even in the summer, so layer up and wear warm clothes. It is highly recommended that you bring a camping chair, maybe a blanket, and something hot to drink as you sit and ponder the cosmos.
