About the Event
The club members get together every month to chat, learn about upcoming events, and listen to a guest astronomer give a talk. There is a new members orientation starting at 6:30pm while the rest of the members get caught up with friends. At 7pm the president gives a presentation about what the club is doing. The guest speaker starts at 7:30pm. Snacks and drinks are served.
This month: Solar System Ambassadors and SAS members Crystal Kaya and Keith Krumm will be sharing their recent tour of the NASA/Cal Tech Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena California. Crystal and Keith will be discussing the history of JPL and the current missions being tracked at the lab. They will also discuss their visit to the Mt. Wilson Observatory where Edwin Hubble and other major astronomers made significant advances in astronomy and cosmology.
