About the Event
The original Sept New Moon event was cancelled due to rain. The host has decided to make the following week available because the forecast is looking better!
Piney Woods is a 5 acre site near Goldendale Washington. The skies are dark here, bortle 3. It is a very rural area but the town of Goldendale is 15 minutes away by car with just about all the amenities you need. Some people like to get a room at one of the motels, sleep there during the day, take a shower, eat in town then come out to the site at night for observing. Others like to setup tents, sleep in their vehicle, or bring an RV.
