Piney Woods - October New Moon

Piney Woods is a 5 acre site near Goldendale Washington. The skies are dark here, between bortle 2 and 3. It is a very rural area but the town of Goldendale is 15 minutes away by car with just about all the amenities you need. Some people like to get a room at one of the motels, sleep there during the day, take a shower, eat in town then come out to the site at night for observing. Others like to setup tents, sleep in their vehicle, or bring an RV.

Please email darkskysite@seattleastro.org and let us know you are coming, how many are with you, and if you will have a RV, tent, or be sleeping in your vehicle. This helps with planning.
