Piney Woods - September New Moon

Piney Woods is a 5 acre site near Goldendale Washington. The skies are dark here, between bortle 2 and 3. It is a very rural area but the town of Goldendale is 15 minutes away by car with just about all the amenities you need. Some people like to get a room at one of the motels, sleep there during the day, take a shower, eat in town then come out to the site at night for observing. Others like to setup tents, sleep in their vehicle, or bring an RV.

This month we will be having a work party. If you are interested in helping please let us know when you email darkskysite@seattleastro.org to let us know you are coming, how many are with your and if you will have a RV, tent, or be sleeping in your vehicle.
