About the Event
Experienced astronomer volunteers from the Seattle Astronomical Society (SAS) bring their telescopes and binoculars to share with the public. Everyone is welcome including families with children.
Check the SAS website < www.seattleastro.org > frequently for stargazing event status. If weather conditions force cancellation of an event, that news will be posted not later that 4PM the day of the event.
It can be chilly at night, even in the summer, so dress warmly and use layers. Bring a hot drink, a camping chair is highly recommended, and blanket too. Members and visitors bring their own personal telescopes so please do not touch a telescope. Dogs on leashes can tip over telescopes if they get caught up in the legs of the tripod so please leave your pooch in the car or even better, at home.
