I have been interested in astronomy since 1960s growing up in Owens Valley near Bishop California. Eastern Sierra mountains were very dark and dry skies with altitudes over 6000’ just down the road. Was a great place to grow up. In college I took astronomy and as part of that had access to to Stoney ridge observatory near Mount Wilson, CA. I was hooked. But took the next 45 years to get back into astronomy and telescopes. I’ve attend about 8 star parties this year and looking forward to getting to know everyone.
