Title: Celebrating Apollo 17's 50th Anniversary

Abstract: 50 years ago this month Apollo 17 was on the moon from December 7 - 19, 1972. This was the last time humans were there.

We would like to take this time to review and remember this amazing program, and the last humans on the lunar surface.  For those of us who were watching live, let’s share our memories: throwing a hammer on the moon, driving a car, singing Christmas songs, the science, and the amazing images of the lunar surface….just to name a few.

And, for those too young to remember this is a good time to appreciate the giants whose shoulders we stand. Please join us for this discussion and celebration.  Also, if you can make it to the UW, we will have some great NASA handouts.
