Overview

Volunteer astronomers from Seattle Astronomical Society and Boeing Employees' Astronomical Society team up with Kent Parks to provide guests with telescopes and assistance to view the Moon, planets and constellations and other interesting astronomical objects.

Meet for monthly star parties at the"Lagoon" parking lot on the east side of Russell Road.  

Dress warmly, very warmly and bring a dim, very dim, red light.  Please no white lights.

    3rd Quarter Members-Only Star Party

    This star party offers another opportunity each month to observe under a dark sky. It's open to all SAS members but is specifically designed to orient new members to dark-sky protocol. Although dark-sky etiquette is expected (see below), experienced members will be on hand to help newcomers learn the ropes. The Third Quarter Star Party is for SAS members only and will be on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. if weather permits.
