Overview

Volunteer astronomers from the Seattle Astronomical Society and Nocturnal in Normandy Park team up with the City of Normandy Park to provide guests with telescopes and assistance to view the Moon, planets and constellations and other interesting astronomical objects.

Meet for monthly star parties at the City Hall Park - SE Field 1 Baseball.

Dress warmly, very warmly and bring a dim, very dim, red light.  Please no white lights.

More Information

Covington Parks and Recreation sponsors monthly star parties observing the moon, planets, constellations and other interesting astronomical objects.  Volunteer astronomers from the Seatle Astronomical Society and the Boeing Employees' Astronomical Society will provide telescopes and assist guests of all ages to view seasonal objects.  

It is especially important to dress warmly and bring only dim red lights.  No white lights please.

Visit the Skymaps web site at <www.skymaps.> to discover the viewable objects for the current month.  Print the Skymaps for the month and bring ayour personal viewing plan to the volunteer astronomers and see how may night sky objects you can discover for yourself.

    Rattlesnake Mountain Trailhead Star Party

    Always scheduled on the closest Saturday to the New Moon, our next Members-only Rattlesnake Mountain Trailhead Star Party will be held on Saturday, March 2, from 6:00 P.M. to 11:55 P.M. Join us as we look up and enjoy the evening sky. We stargaze at the Rattlesnake Mountain Trailhead parking lot to the southwest of Snoqualmie Point Park. All vehicles must display a valid Discover Pass.
