Overview
SAS volunteers with telescopes are sought for a "Stargazing on the Farm" on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Oxbow Farm & Conservation Center in Carnation, WA.
This event will bring to the community an opportunity to experience the beauty of the Farm's land and of the clear, dark sky. An SAS volunteer will present an evening star tour for guest at ~10pm
Up to eight SAS volunteers with telescopes are needed. A gourmet evening snack pack along with select drinks or wine from Novelty Hill Winery will be available to guests at a reduced price. Volunteer will get snack packs free of charge.

This Green Lake Public Star Party (outreach event) scheduled for Jul 25, 2020, 09:00 PM is cancelled due to restrictions on official SAS star party group sizes because of Covid 19. Consider, as a replacement, the NEOWISE Comet for private, individual, or solitary observing while it is closest to earth on July 22 and visible in the NW below Ursa Major from North America for about the next month. It won't return for 6,800 years!
