When event group size restrictions are lifted, regular SAS Star Parties will return to regular scheduled events status. Green Lake Public Star Party
Sat at 09:00 PM Open to PublicThis Green Lake Public Star Party (outreach event) scheduled for Jul 25, 2020, 09:00 PM is cancelled due to ongoing governmental restrictions on official SAS star parties and group sizes because of Coronavirus. Consider, as a replacement, doing private, individual or solitary viewing of the NEOWISE comet, closest to earth on July 22 and visible in the NW below Ursa Major from North America for about the next month.

Sip & Stargaze at Oxbow Farm
Fri at 08:00 PM Open to PublicSAS volunteers with telescopes are sought for a "Stargazing on the Farm" on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Oxbow Farm & Conservation Center in Carnation, WA. This event will bring to the community an opportunity to experience the beauty of the Farm's land and of the clear, dark sky. Universe of Stories
Tue at 02:00 PM Open to PublicOur summer reading theme this year is "Universe of Stories" - in addition to registering kids of all ages for reading, we offer free programs that keep them engaged over the summer. We offer these programs weekly - our schedule is wide open right now, and would love an astronomy program with an interactive component. I am imagining a program with telescopes involved. This Science Fair for elementary grades brings approximately 250 students and parents to school to enjoy many different types of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) activities inclluding astronomy.
