    SAS volunteers with telescopes are sought for a "Stargazing on the Farm" on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Oxbow Farm & Conservation Center in Carnation, WA. This event will bring to the community an opportunity to experience the beauty of the Farm's land and of the clear, dark sky. An SAS volunteer will present an evening star tour for guest at ~10pm Up to eight SAS volunteers with telescopes are needed.     Universe of Stories

    Our summer reading theme this year is "Universe of Stories" - in addition to registering kids of all ages for reading, we offer free programs that keep them engaged over the summer. We offer these programs weekly - our schedule is wide open right now, and would love an astronomy program with an interactive component. I am imagining a program with telescopes involved.     This is a school only event held for students, family and staff of a local elementary school ES. This Science Fair for elementary grades brings approximately 250 students and parents to school to enjoy many different types of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) activities inclluding astronomy.
