At this point the hybrid meetings are scheduled in-person for the Museum of Flight, Second Floor Board Room for in-person attendance and also on Zoom for virtual, online attendance. The entry URL for Zoom is available from the SAS President president@seattleastro.org Be sure to check ths site and page before traveling to a Board Meeting at the MOF for possible in-person cancellations.

Join us in Bonney Lake on the 3rd Saturday for Star Gazing. We will have telescopes for people to look through or feel free to bring your own. The fun starts at sunset.

Every month SAS meets for our general meeting commonly featuring a guest speaker and presentation. It also provides members a chance to engage and be in community with each other. We normally meet on the campus of the University of Washington in the physics auditorium. We also have an online option over Zoom. What to expect: Join us for an annual tradition of stargazing from one of the darkest spots in Washington state. This year we are hosting 4 star parties at Brooks Memorial State Park near Goldendale, WA. One each in the month of June, July, August and September. One note to clarify, although there is camping, this event is first and foremost a Star Party for SAS Members and guests to enjoy. The Paramount Park Star Party offers one of the best possible observing experiences from a city location. Located in North Seattle, Paramount Part is easily and quickly reached by all in the Seattle area and offers an excellent city viewing experience. Questions? This Rattlesnake Ledge Trailhead Star Party is reserved for SAS members-only and closed to the public. (A star party in nearby Snoqualmie Point Park is open on this same night to the public.) For SAS members, many of whom are very experienced observers, this members-only star party will offer an opportunity to interact and thereby enrich observing experience by learning from each other. Beautiful, star spangled Snoqualmie Point Park will be the site of a SAS public star party open to the public and to all interested persons..
